An alleged snatcher was arrested after grabbing the cellphone of actress and vlogger Alex Gonzaga in Brgy Guadalupe Nuevo, Makati City.
According to Makati Sub Station 7 Commander Police Captain Edison Mabaet, the actress was inside the vehicle at EDSA when three suspects stole her cellphone.
The actress’ assistant was allegedly holding a cellphone to take a picture of a billboard at EDSA when the suspects grabbed it on Wednesday afternoon.
Alex Gonzaga’s driver and police patrolling the area immediately chased the suspects resulting in the arrest of one of them.
Despite this, the actress’ cellphone was not recovered from the suspect, so the authorities conducted a follow-up operation where the actress’ belongings were recovered.
It was learned that the actress’ cell phone worth almost P80,000 was about to be sold when the authorities recovered it.
According to Mabaet, the suspect was also released immediately because Alex Gonzaga did not file a complaint after her cellphone was recovered.

A father used private photos and videos of a 21-year-old woman with his son to exploit and demand money from the victim.
John Consulta reported on GMA News “24 Oras” on Wednesday that the 42-year-old suspect was arrested by National Bureau of Investigation-NBI-Cavite District Office personnel.
The entrapment operation was conducted against the suspect outside an establishment in Tagaytay, where the victim handed money to the man.
According to the victim, she used the suspect’s cellphone to open Facebook. But she forgot to log out of the account after she used it.
It was here that the suspect allegedly saw her delicate photos and videos placed in a private album.
This is said to be the threat used by the suspect to force the victim to have sex with him several times and even ask for money.
He said the victim could not do anything if she did not follow the suspect’s wishes because he threatened to spread her sensitive photos and videos if she refused.
