Actor Jace Flores and partner wanted for estafa

The NBI is already looking for actor Jace Flores and his partner after receiving a complaint about alleged estafa.

According to an exclusive report by Emil Sumangil in Unang Balita of GMA News on Monday, the two allegedly sold fake watches and mortgaged the reportedly stolen vehicle.

Last July, Flores (Reynaldo ‘Jace’ Chanco Flores in real life) and his partner Doriz May Santos allegedly sold an expensive watch to Jessie Reyes Gay, a casino financier.

Gay’s story, he was fascinated because the Swiss watch Audemars Piguet sold by the two suspects was only P300,000. It is worth more than P3 million in the market.

“Ang usapan namin diyan, dapat una pa lang, ipapa-legit check muna namin bago bayaran, bago namin kunin. Pero dahil nagtiwala agad kami, eh sabi ko mukhang hindi naman gagawa ng kalokohan [kinuha na namin],” said Gay.

Gay took the watch to the authorized service center to find out if it was genuine.

“Actually nagbayad pa kami doon [authorized service center] ng P3,000 to check kung legit or fake. Pagtingin pa lang noong sa store, alam na agad na fake,” he added.

“Parang binuhusan ako ng ano eh. Sumama ‘yung loob ko siyempre. Bakit nila nagawa ‘yon?” he said.

Gay has already filed an estafa case with the NBI against Jace Flores and Santos.

On the other hand, watch collector Rino Uy advised that watches should be inspected at authorized service centers, especially second-hand before purchase.

“Sa ngayon sa sobrang ganda ng pakaka-fake, hindi mo na masasabi minsan lalo na kapag kunyari hindi ka expert. Minsan kahit expert napepeke pa eh,” said Uy.

The suspects also allegedly victimized others.

OFW Anna Marie Margarejo, a jewelry and watch dealer in Singapore, filed a complaint against the two.

According to Margarejo, the suspects shot her with a pair of Rolex watches worth almost P500,000.

After making a downpayment of P100,000, the suspects allegedly did not show up.

Talent manager Len Carillo was also said to be the victim.

According to Carillo, the suspects allegedly provided him with an SUV.

Only then did he find out that the SUV that was pledged to him was stolen.

Meanwhile, Jace Flores and his partner could no longer be contacted on their phones.
