A 68-year-old grandmother in Iloilo is recovering in hospital after bleeding due to the alleged rape of a 19-year-old man. Before raping the victim, the suspect allegedly said, “age doesn’t matter.”

During the police investigation, it appeared that the grandmother attended the birthday party and the suspect, a Grade 11 student, was also present.

At 10:30 pm, the grandmother decided to go home, and the suspect, who knew the victim’s grandson, offered to take her home.

But while on the road, the suspect allegedly expressed bad intentions to the victim.

Despite the victim’s plea that she is old and has grandchildren, the suspect allegedly said, “age doesn’t matter.”

Fearing that the suspect would kill her, the victim did nothing.

When she returned home, the relatives reportedly noticed that the victim was bleeding, so the grandmother told them what had happened to her.

The grandmother was taken to the hospital and continues to recover.

The suspect is wanted who, according to the mother, is a good son and cannot commit such a crime.

The barangay official said that the suspect already had a record because of a fight.

Seaman lost everything due to e-sabong addiction

A seaman is deeply remorseful for his addiction to online cockfighting. Aside from the money wasted on such gambling, he is now heavily in debt.

In a report by Joseph Morong on GMA News “24 Oras” on Tuesday, the seaman, 26-years-old, was hidden under the name “CJ.” He allegedly spent P2 million on e-sabong.

Even in another country, CJ is said to be still able to gamble or bet on e-sabong using the phone application.

Deep in debt, CJ allegedly sold the car his mother had bought for him. The vehicle was allegedly purchased using what their house had sold.

His wife had also left him, and he could not afford to treat his sick child.

CJ admits he got to the point where he could no longer buy food due to his addiction to e-cockfighting. He also became homeless when he could no longer pay the rent for his lodgings.

When a new opportunity arose, CJ tried to correct his mistake.

He asked the government to stop e-cockfighting.
