6 friends from outing intercepted and abducted in Batangas

Six friends have been missing for five days after being abducted by armed men while traveling in Laurel, Batangas. The victims, coming from the outing when intercepted by the perpetrators.

In a report by Chino Gaston on GMA News “24 Oras” on Tuesday, it was said that eight friends went outing in Matabungkay in Batangas.

But while on the trip and on their way home to Cavite, several vehicles squeezed the victims’ car, who were forced to stop on the Nasugbu-Tagaytay Highway.

Two of the eight friends escaped and later reported the incident to the police.

“Tumakbo po kami sa may right side na may space. Mayroon po doong hagdan na pababa. Ilang sandali, lumabas na ‘yong guard at sinabing wala na raw po,” said one of the victims.

According to Laurel Police officer-in-charge Police Captain Errol Frejas, the rented vehicle of the victims was found left in Calamba, Laguna.

The investigation into the incident is said to be ongoing. But one of the victims was allegedly involved in illegal drugs in November 2020.

“Sa ngayon, iniimbestigahan pa rin namin pero mayroong isa dito sa mga nawawala ay involved sa illegal drugs. Nahuli po siya noong November 2020 dito sa San Jose, Batangas,” said Frejas.

(So far, we are still investigating, but one of the missing is involved in illegal drugs. He was arrested in November 2020 here in San Jose, Batangas.)

He said the suspect is still not in contact with the victims’ families, so they are asking for help from someone who can provide information.
