Based on the investigation, the suspects broke the gate padlock using a bolt cutter.

They tied the Chinese with plastic straws and packaging tape and stole nearly P1 million worth of property and 2 vaults with about P3 million in cash.

“Ito po ang nakakapagtaka kasi dahil dire-diretso sila. Ibig sabihin, alam na alam nila ang bahay na pupuntahan nila, Alam nila na may 2nd floor. Dire-diretso,” said Sebastian.

The suspects will face charges of robbery and illegal possession of firearms.

Police are still conducting a follow-up operation on others possibly involved in the case.

Parañaque police, on the other hand, ensured tight security in residential areas, especially those inhabited by foreigners.

The Southern Police District (SPD) is forming a task group to investigate crimes involving foreign nationals in Parañaque and neighboring Makati, Pasay, and Muntinlupa cities.

SPD director Brig. Gen. Jimili Macaraeg said they are also completing the database of these crimes to see if these cases are relevant.

Last month, three Chinese nationals were rescued by the Manila Police District Crime Investigation Section. They were alleged to have been abducted by fellow Chinese in exchange for money.

The operation stemmed from a call by a concerned citizen to the Dagonoy PCP with a Chinese national walking on the road handcuffed.
