Lacson said in a media interview. “Right now I have a copy of some releases, names of releases. At least 4 of those released last August 16 are Chinese drug lords. They were released to the custody of the BI (Bureau of Immigration) for possible deportation. But these are convicted Chinese drug lords that have already been released.”

The four Chinese men were imprisoned in Building 14, Maximum Security Compound but are now turned over to the Bureau of Immigration (BI) for possible deportation.

He further added that another Chinese drug lord was transferred to BI as of yesterday.

Lacson said they are still verifying if the release of Chinese convicts were due to the Good Conduct Time Allowance (GCTA) law or Republic Act No. 10952.

Meanwhile, Lacson also tried to get a copy of the list of inmates who are released on August 20. The said list supposedly has the Eileen Sarment and Allan Gomez killer-rapist ex-mayor, Antonio Sanchez as claimed by Sanchez’s family.

The senator said, “We’re trying to look for the copy of the August 20 release order in favor of Mayor Sanchez. But apparently nawawala ang kopya.”

The Senate will conduct an investigation to review the definition of the controversial Good Conduct Time Allowance (GCTA) law or Republic Act No. 10952. Lacson said the law is a great venue and source for corruption.

“When we talk of 11,000 convicts to be released at P10,000 each or P5,000 each, you can just imagine the huge amount of money involved. I’m not saying it happened,” he said.
