A sex offender registry is a system that is being implemented in several countries that allows their governments to monitor activities of sex offenders.  RSOs are persons convicted of crimes involving sexual offense, including rape, sexual assault or child molestation.

All three sex offenders were immediately sent back on board the next flight back to their country from origin and are included in the BI’s blacklist of unwanted aliens.

In a report by John Consulta on GMA News “24 Oras” this Friday, it was said that the personnel of the NCRPO Regional Special Operations Group in Las Piñas arrested the suspect, Edgardo Silvano Jr.

According to the authorities, they received information from their “asset,” so they asked for a search warrant from the court to enter the suspect’s house.

NCRPO Regional Intelligence Division Chief Police Colonel Jess Mendez said the suspect was dubbed “Asia’s No. 1 hacker” in 2001 when he preyed on an international financier, which led to his imprisonment in Hong Kong.

It is said that the authorities recovered a gun, several cellphones, tablets and laptops, routers, and desktops from the suspect’s house.

In 2016, Silvano was also arrested in the Philippines for possession of fake credit cards and card printers with a pending court case.
