Authorities arrested actor Dominic Roco and four others after being caught with illegal drugs in a buy-bust operation in Holy Spirit Quezon City, Saturday.
Police seized sachets of suspected illegal drugs worth P116,000.
According to a report that aired on Dobol B TV, the primary suspect in the investigation, Reynaldo Sanchez, was among those apprehended during the drug bust that took place at Don Antonio Heights, Barangay Holy Spirit.
Roco and Sanchez weren’t the only ones taken into custody; a woman and two other guys were also taken into custody.
They had 15 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated value of P102,000 and 10 grams of accused marijuana with an estimated value of P14,000. Both of these items were confiscated from them.
Charges of violating Republic Act No. 9165, often known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, will be brought against the individuals.
Dominic Roco is the son of veteran actor Bembol Roco. He has a twin brother Felix Roco.
Dominic Roco was born on the 12th of April in the Philippines in the year 1989. He is noted for his work in films such as Sleepless (2015), What Isn’t There (2012), and Kamandag (2007).
Meanwhile, Surigao del Norte 2nd District Representative Robert Ace Barbers proposed the implementation of mandatory drug testing on artists idolized by the public, especially the youth.

Barbers is the chairman of the House Committee on Dangerous Drugs in Congress.
“They would be setting bad examples if they would be involved in the use of drugs, or worse selling drugs,” Barbers said.
He added that even though he knows that most celebrities are drug-free, there are still a few of them who lose their way.
“Alam ko na halos lahat ng ating mga artista ay drug-free o malinis sa usapin ng illegal na droga. Pero meron din na naliligaw ng landas, na gumagamit o minsan nagtutulak pa ng illegal na droga,” he added.
